Daniel Lew is a singer-songwriter with a mission to uplift the world. 10 years ago, he spontaneously went deaf in his left ear and developed tinnitus. This led him down a path of song weaving. “Folk music writ large with electrifying vocals” writes Charlie Smith of Pancouver Magazine. Daniel’s voice is a blend of Bob Dylan, Jack Johnson, and Chris Cornell, paired with dynamic guitar playing and live looping.
He has released 4 albums, toured Canada, and has been featured by CBC Radio One, Jade Music Festival Taipei, Jorvik Radio UK, Exclaim! Eh List, Indie Shuffle, and South China Morning Post. His busking performances have caught the attention of Ed Sheeran, Jacob Collier, and Dan Mangan.
Daniel was awarded the 2023 Creative BC Career development grant for his new album “Destiny”. For this project, he collaborated with several other Asian-Canadians creatives to showcase work from under represented artists.
